Job Description

An excellent opportunity has opened to join Kennedys, a global award winning law firm.Kennedys is looking for a HR Advisor to join our Learning and Development team, in the HR department. This role is responsible for supporting the HR Manager - Learning and Development in delivering the global learning and development strategy for the Firm. The role is varied and will have responsibility for a global internal client groups learning needs, management of global development programmes and delivery of global learning projects.The team are looking to evolve the learning offer to ensure it reflects the latest thinking in learning approaches and use of learning technology. The successful HR Advisor will have an influential role in supporting the team in this process.Flexibility on working hours will be considered for the right candidates and although a Chelmsford base there will be a mix of home and office working, with opportunity also to work from the London office.TeamKennedys HR team supports the firm with all people related matters across Business Partnering, Diversity & Inclusion, CSR, Learning & Development, Operations, and Recruitment. We are a global team with HR presence in Australia, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Singapore, US and the UK and our office managers in other countries have involvement in HR.Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the HR Business Partnering team to deliver a true partnership role to the business, supporting the identification of learning needs through consulting and analysis of data and proposing innovative and impactful learning solutions
  • Programme manage global development programmes, ensuring that the content of programmes remains best in class, meets the evolving development needs of the Firm and reflects the latest thinking in learning design
  • Manage the delivery of global learning and development projects. Currently projects include the implementation of a new Learning Management system and the redesign of our global onboarding experience.
  • Work with the HR Learning and Development Manager to look at how we can embed informal, social and performance support approaches to complement our formal learning and as we evolve our learning offer
  • Monitor the engagement with and impact of learning on business performance, creating new and innovative ways to engage the business and improve the impact learning has on performance
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with external providers and bodies, keeping up to date with changes in the learning and development industry as well as developments within the professional services and legal sector
  • Required experienceEssential:
  • Experience in a learning and development partnering or consulting role in a fast paced global organisation (ideally professional or financial services or similar blue chip environment)
  • Strong consulting/partnering skills experience in a professional environment
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to quickly build relationships and demonstrate credibility in a professional environment
  • Learning programme management experience in a global environment
  • Learning or HR project management experience in a global environment
  • Programme design experience - able to translate learning needs and work in collaboration with external providers on designing bespoke programmes
  • Preferred:
  • Certified in MBTI and other psychometrics
  • Confidence in facilitation (This is primarily a consulting role with minimum delivery the required candidate will need to be able to deliver learning programmes as required)
