Job Description

A client we are working closely with has had a new oppurtunity arise due to growth.please find the roles duties and responsibilitys listed below.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Load and create job files in operational software.
  • Contact with overseas shippers to arrange collection of freight.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key customers to develop more business opportunities.
  • Check, reference and finalise shipping documents in existing files.
  • Ensure customers and internal colleagues are fully informed of the progress of their shipments.
  • Communicate effectively with internal colleagues and overseas offices to progress files accordingly.
  • Obtain all necessary information to ensure correct measures are in place and customer needs are met.
  • Transfer electronic bookings (EDIFACT) messages into relevant file format.
  • Raise shipping documentation.
  • Cover the import customer service and operations when required.
  • Any other duties as required by management for the smooth and efficient operation of the department.
