Our Client is looking for a Health and Safety Manager.Must be a car driverSalary: £45,000 to £50,000Job SummaryManaging the Environmental, Health, Safety & Quality (EHSQ) management systems on site.This individual identifies and prioritises their own work in order to proactively and strategically improve the business EHSQ performance, ensuring that systems sustainand encourage continuous improvement of standards. Accurate and timely preparation of corporate and legal reports as required is expected of this individual, and presentation to senior leadership team is clear and consistent. They use and promote the use ofanalytical and structured approaches in the way they tackle their work to improve the quality of our products and services as well as the safe conditions the employees work within. Coaching, positive reinforcement and leading by example are critical elementsof this role. Insurance that the business is adhering to the necessary regulatory standards for both EHSQ compliance is paramount, and involvement in both internal and external audits will be necessary.Primary Responsibilities 1. First and foremost, it is the responsibility of the incumbent to perform any and all tasks in a safe manner, keeping in mind safety on the job at all times for themselves and colleagues.2. Develop, communicate and maintain plans to ensure compliance, including audits, product testing regimes and inspections.3. Communicate identified or reported EHSQ issues as required.4. Assist in the resolution of identified non-conformities to give a consistent, robust and structured approach.5. Encourage and facilitate all employee empowerment to identify and address EHSQ issues, and encourage new ideas to improve current standards and conditions.6. Facilitates, coaches and mentors teams and individuals to continuously improve EHSQ, and delivers focused improvement projects to enhance performance in these areas.7. Responsible for identifying training needs and the training of employees in tools and techniques that drive our safety and quality culture.8. Monitors and reacts to emerging trends in data with the aim to prevent issues from occurring.9. Is the gatekeeper for the Business Management System & ISO standards.10. Ensure that systems for emergency preparedness are effective and adequate. 11. Assist in management and closure of employee / customer compensation cases.12. Maintain professional development in current practices.13. Other duties as assigned.Education/Qualifications
