Job Description

You will act as the interface between internal & external stakeholders to ensure that proposals are preparedto deliver the best capture rates and through the most cost effective solution.Working from our Head Office in Chelmsford, you will report to the Director of Operations and Facilities Maintenance.This is a Monday to Friday position, working 40 hours per week excluding a 1 hour unpaid lunch break.There will be an expectation that the successful candidate is prepared to travel UK wide, visiting clients and Horizon Group office locations.Salary: Circa £45,000.00 per annum, depending upon skills & experienceWhat will we expect in return

  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of ANPR and Trolley Retention schemes, from initial client request through to production of as-built drawings.
  • Programme surveys based on stakeholder priorities and manage project timelines, resources and budgets to stakeholder expectations.
  • Instruct consultants to carry out TOPO, and ground penetration surveys where required.
  • Evaluate technical drawings, surveys and specifications to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
  • Review and sign-off all site proposals, ensuring optimal placement of equipment and accuracy of scope of works before handing over to the Programme Team.
  • Work closely with the Technical Support Team to review ANPR capture rates delivered through new sites and understand issues and apply learnings to future schemes.
  • With the support of the Programme and Specialist Services Team produce site phasing plans for delivery of all works.
  • Upon completion of a scheme oversee the production of as-built drawings and uploading of all project documents to client portals.
  • Upskill and build knowledge of surveying team on placement and installation methods of ANPR cameras.
  • With the support of the company Training Manager develop and maintain a what good looks like guide for placement of ANPR cameras.
  • Develop and maintain a package of standard detail drawings for all ANPR and Trolley Retention installations.
  • Be the expert for all ANPR and Trolley Retention installations and provide technical guidance and support to surveying teams as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes and electrical regulations.
  • Maintain a tracker for all schemes and provide clear communication with all stakeholders.
What do we need from you
  • Minimum of 2-3 years post qualified building surveying experience (commercial) is desirable.
  • HNC / HND in Building Surveying, Engineering or related field (desirable).
  • Certification in project management, e.g. PMP, Prince 2 (desirable).
  • Full or Associate Membership of a relevant professional body such as RICS, CABE or CIOB (desirable).
  • Proven experience in programme and project management, particularly in retail or similar environments.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and approve technical drawings, surveys and specifications.
  • Have a good understanding of H&S at work regulations 1999 and Construction Design & Management 2015 regulations.
  • Excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Full driving licence, use of own car and willingness to travel when required
  • Experience in car park management and related technologies is desirable.
