Job Description

  • Support the delivery of a high-quality grounds maintenance service by assisting the Grounds Maintenance team with tasks such as grass cutting at sheltered schemes, communal grass areas and individual gardens
  • Assist with horticultural work, such as maintaining shrub beds, hedge trimming, weeding, litter picking and planting.
  • Participate in all training as provided in order to acheive an enhance level of skills and multi skilling tasks
  • With guidance ensure the correct safety procedures are followed before using tools and equipment
  • Attend college to gain relevant horticultural and landscape qualification level 2 or 3.
Reports To
  • Operations Supervisor - Grounds Maintenance.
RequirementsWhat we are looking for
  • Evidence of attainment of good literacy and numeracy, e.g. through GCSEs (Grade C/4) or equivalent.
  • Self-motivation with the ability to use own initiative and enthusiastically take on new work.
  • Methodical and accurate approach to work.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
