cer Financial are working alongside a financial institution who are based in Chelmsford, they are looking for a fund accountant to join them on a permanent basis, who can operate on a hybrid basis and would be expected to be in the office at least 1 dayper week. The purpose of the role is to assist in the production of regulatory reporting for Unit Trusts, OEICs and Investment Trusts, ensuring that all deliverables are produced and dispatched on time in accordance with regulatory and client service levelagreements and agreed quality standards.The Responsibilities of a fund accountant will Include:Responsible for the production of OEIC/UT & Investment Trust reports and accountsTo liaise with, manage and respond to any queries of Depositary, Company Secretariat and AuditorsPrepare Distribution calculationsTo perform income forecasting, investment restrictions & investment performance summariesReconcile the monthly packs, and respond to queries raised from Trustee/DepositaryMonthly AIC returns, month end management accounts & loan covenant calculationsQuarterly ONS returns and processing Directors payrollTo assist in the take on of new clients and fund launches/closures/mergersPreparation of monthly/quarterly fee rebatesCalculate Total Expense RatiosParticipate in the development, testing and implementation of new systems and productsAssist in the continuous review and development of the processes and associated internal controls operating in and around the fund accounting dept.Preparation of quarterly and annual tax returnsCalculate and raise invoices for ACD, Registrar and Management feesThe Successful Fund Accountant will Have:Requirement to gain a thorough understanding of all funds.The individual will need to be self-motivated, conscientious and able to work to and meet tight deadlines as well as being able to ensure work is completed to a high standard.It is essential the candidate is reliable and flexible as far as working hours are required.Good communication skills and ability to communicate well at all levels both internally and externally.Excellent computer skills, in particular Excel, are an essential requirement.
