Job Description

Career Teachers are currently looking for a number of teaching assistants to work in a SEN High school in Stockport. All students at this school have Education & Health Care Plans (EHCPs) specifying Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties as theirprimary need.Our client is a specialist provision that provides bespoke education and support for each student. It is central to their practice that each student is treated as an individual so that the school can meet their complex needs.If you are a compassionate, driven teaching assistant with an excellent knack at building strong relationships, we want to hear from you.Applications are encouraged from those with a background in working in SEND schools, residential support, care, or those with a vested interest in working within SEND careers such as Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists and similar.These are full time positions that will become permanent after working 15 weeks with us.Responsibilities

  • Be aware of, and remain responsible for all safeguarding of pupils within your care
  • Work collaboratively with both teaching and support staff to ensure best outcomes for students
  • Foster independence in students and promote well-being and good welfare
  • Support with the personal care of students
