This post will report directly to the Head of the School and is a management position as part of our School Leadership Team.Role SummaryWe wish to appoint a dynamic and inspirational school leader to shape the ongoing success of our curriculum development, policy and provision within the school. The successful applicant will undertake the duties of a Senior Teacher and Curriculum Lead under the reasonable direction of the Head of School.As a result of the promotion of the current post holder to the headship, this is an exciting opportunity to join a forward thinking, dynamic and hardworking team.The successful leader will be responsible for the development of the curriculum, management of teaching staff and HLTA and ensuring that an outstanding level of education is maintained across the school. You will lead on school developments according to the school development plan and annual schedule.The students follow an individual and functional timetable including literacy, numeracy, creative arts, vocational, leisure, life skills, physical development and personal and social skills. Timetables and curriculum learning is developed around students’ interests and needs, allowing programmes to be motivating and provide learning platforms that result in exceptional progress.The staff work with a range of highly skilled professionals including Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Assistive Technologists and ASC specialists in delivering individual education programmes.
