Job Description

Printcraft is part of Card Factory plc, a retailer with over 1000 stores nationwide. Printcraft manufactures the groups UK greetings cards, wrap and POS for stores. It is a forward-thinking business with the state of the art equipment operating a large site24/7, we produce aroundbillion items per annum.The business is in an exciting phase of growth and investment to cement our success for the next number of years. It is a great time to join the company while we operate lithographic print and finishing equipment to supply high quality, volume products.Scope and purpose of the roleTo operate various large sheet-finishing machines to include foiling / embossing and die cut machines to their optimum. This role is working on various shift patterns and will include working night shift at some point in the rota. An excellent understandingof large sheet finishing of greeting cards along with a good eye for detail. Main ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities for this role will be:

  • Tooperate different machines and must be able to foil/emboss and die cut
  • To havepractical approaches andconfidentlyproblem solve.
  • Maintain a good level and high standards of house-keeping and Health & Safety within the department.
  • Manual Handling.
The Ideal CandidateYou will ideally have;
  • Excellent Knowledge of greeting card finishing.
  • Excellent practical and technical skills.
  • Experience of operating large machinery.
  • Must be able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent team working skills with a good attitude.
  • To be able to communicate at all levels.
