Job Description

As in-house recruiters for the large manufacturing organisation, DENSO Marston based in West Yorkshire, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, customer focused, technically savvy, IT Analyst. The ideal candidate will be professional, quick learning,enthusiastic, self-motivated and be keen to join a small but dynamic team. The right person will also have the ability to deal with users at all levels in a manufacturing business and work well under pressure. The successful applicant will be technicallyminded, have strong experience configuring and supporting Windows based environments and networks and is a team player. You must have excellent communication skills and youll ideally be an all-rounder who is comfortable doing 1st and some 2nd line support.Working hours:Mon - Thurs8:30 - 5:00 Fri 8:30 - 1:30 Flexi-time of 30 minutes at either side of the core hours is available MonThurs.Excellent pension scheme, private health cover and generous company benefits, plus free on-site parking.Key responsibilities

  • Consult and communicate effectively, both written and verbal
  • Support a wide range of IT users and systems
  • Log all service desk tickets on the ITSM system
  • Manage Service Request tasks (e.g. new starter requests)
  • Provision of all IT equipment i.e., laptops, desktop, printers and peripherals
  • An understanding of client confidentiality issues and the use of discretion
  • Able to excel in a fast changing, priority shifting environment
Preferred experience/skills
  • Experience in supporting MS OS and application software
  • Proven troubleshooting skills
  • Experience administrating Active Directory
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7 & XP & 10, MS Office 365
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems
  • Good understanding of networking. Inc. TCP/IP DHCP, DNS, etc.
  • Mobile Device Management (Apple iPhone devices)
  • Backup software (preferably Symantec NetBackup).
  • Excellent customer service skills
Preferred qualifications
  • Minimum GCSE level C or above in English, Maths, Science and Information Technology
  • ITIL Qualification is desirable
  • AS/400 exposure
  • Lotus Notes/Domino Server exposure
  • Citrix XenApp awareness
