Production / Manufacturing Operative BD17 - Baildon / Shipley - Rotating Day & Afters £9.30ph rising to £9.31 after 12 weeks and £10.36 after 12 months - Nights - £9.50 per hour rising to £9.81 after 12 weeks and £11.44 after 12 months 37 hours per week all shifts include EARLY FINISH FRIDAYS! Ongoing job - long term, stable work Overtime available! Gi Group are pleased to be working with a leading international automotive business with a large Factory in Baildon, Shipley. The business are seeking Manufacturing Operatives to join the factory team on an ongoing basis. Commutable from Bradford and West Leeds, the automotive business employ over 700 at the Shipley site, with other sites across the UK. As Manufacturing Operative, your responsibilities will be:Working in Factory Working with machinery and heavy duty industrial equipmentWorking on various machines to form and produce high quality automotive parts Ensuring all parts are produced to high quality standards and to customer timescalesAssembling automotive components Manual HandlingAdhering to health and safetyFollowing plans Following build and manufacturing processes Working with potentially heavy items Working with tools *Full training is provided* The ideal candidate: Previous experience in a production or assembly environment Machine operative experienceFactory experience Manual handling (ability to lift/carry heavy loads) Good work ethic - attendance & timekeeping.Effective timekeeping Testing productsGood communication skills - strong written & verbal English/maths The ability to learn and develop new skills. An eye for detail An ability to work well within a team.
