Job Description

Reed Finance are delighted to be partnering leading global and award-winning engineering consultancy to recruit a commercial focused Regional Accountant within their UK business.We are seeking a qualified Accountant who can bring strong project and management accounting, business partnering and budgeting & forecasting experience to this role.This Regional Accountant role will be supporting numerous UK business units in providing management and project accounting, control and decision support and will require excellent stakeholder management skills.This is a fantastic6 month contract opportunityto join a global business with some exciting projects.Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and control of monthly management, project accounts, annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
  • Hold regular finance project reviews for assigned portfolio acting as a business partner, providing guidance but also challenging project performance.
  • Work collaboratively with project operations teams and provide financial and commercial decision support.
  • Presentation of financial analysis and monthly financial commentary to project leadership teams
  • Manage risk for project portfolio through debtor reviews and have knowledge of project and operational risks and opportunities for portfolio and region.
  • Quarterly WIP reporting for project portfolio.
  • Control and management of allocated regional cost centres and point of contact for financial issues.
  • Business partner with group and other regional finance teams
  • Ensure deadlines for portfolio are met and ensure adherence to local finance systems and processes.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required for this role:
  • Fully Qualified Accountant either CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent
  • Strong experience in project and management accounting
  • Knowledge of WIP and revenue recognition accounting
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel Skills including ability to set up and maintain supporting systems.
  • Experience having provided technical accounting and financial information along with guiding and supporting strategic and tactical decision making.
  • Highly organised and proven ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaborations skills including high level communication skills.
  • Ideally have experience in professionals or within engineering/construction industry
  • Experience with Agresso and Deltek would be advantageous.
