Job Description

My brand-new client of mine, boutique student housing and short-let apartments with over 700 properties around the UK are recruiting for an upbeat and energetic Maintenance Operative to join their growing company. Their overall goal is to deliver the best‘home away from home’ experience for guests, be yourself and feel at home without lengthy contracts and unreliable landlords!This Maintenance role is based on their Farringdon site but you will also be expected to travel to other locations within Central London.As their Maintenance Operative you are responsible for keeping their properties maintained and fix any faults that are needed. This can include putting in new carpets in guest rooms, repairing holes in walls, changing settings on cooling and heating equipment,putting new light bulbs in outdoor lamps and performing general cleaning tasks inside and outside the building. You can expect a physically demanding work that includes using tools and equipment.Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Maintain clean the maintenance storerooms.
  • Maintain equipment and parts inventory as required Ensure that resources stocks are kept safe.
  • Attend to all types of repairs and maintenance works as required.
  • Repair and maintain property facilities including common areas ie: lights, furniture, and equipment.
  • Respond to requests regarding maintenance issues throughout the day.
  • Implement and carry out maintenance in accordance with established timeframes Record daily service work.
  • Report any health and safety issues on the floor.
  • To work closely with all other departments in a friendly and professional manner Comply with the time and attendance policies.
This is a very demanding role, and we would love to hear from you if you have what it takes.To be considered for this role you must possess:
  • A minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role.
  • Have good communication skills and basic English.
  • Are able to work well under pressure.
  • Have plumbing experience.
  • Have a fun, energetic and “ can do” attitude.
  • Are creative and able to use your own initiative.
