We are committed toempower people to rebuild their lives and regain independence.The service you will work in….The Positive Conclusive Grounds Worker will be part of a team of three that specialise in post NRM decision, client support (NRM - National Referral Mechanism). You will be part of the wider Step Forward Team which will comprise of other specialised staffoperating in post NRM client support. Knowledge and understanding of Recovery Needs Assessments, how to make housing applications and the client exit procedure would be an advantage when applying for this role.A day in this role looks like….As a Positive Conclusive Grounds Advocate at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our Modern Slavery Support Service. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence.A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:

  • Hold a caseload of service users who are conclusively recognized as potential victims of trafficking within the National Referral Mechanism.
  • Advocate on behalf of service users to ensure access to for European Convention for Action against Trafficking (ECAT) rights and help them navigate through the NRM.
  • Identify and assess any risks; & put in place appropriate safeguarding measures in response to these risks.
  • Confidently advocate on behalf of service users to access statutory support services and local authority housing.
  • Have regular contact with service users and travel around London & South East regions for key work sessions, recording all interactions on case management system.
  • Have an excellent grasp of public and private services available to service users with no recourse to public funds.
  • Write official letters on behalf of service users to the Home Office, or other partner agencies.
