Job Description

Working with an established Law Firm in search of a Payroll Coordinator, who will be responsible for end-to-end UK payroll and ex-pat payroll covering their European and US offices.Reporting into the Payroll manager, your duties include;

  • Handling payroll compliance for all European locations.
  • Verifying and entering all payroll data to the online payroll system every month, making sure that salaries are processed successfully within tight deadlines
  • Making sure that payments follow the various national and local pay arrangements.
  • Tracking US paid employees on the UK shadow payroll, including computing Tax and NI Liability for the US Payroll to implement.
  • Keeping spreadsheets of Earnings, Tax & NI paid for each US associate ready for US tax returns.
  • Working with the firm’s accountants during the year and at year end to ensure correct employees included on year-end filing and payments balance.
  • Distributing and preparing P11D to US employees. Resolving any queries.
  • Resolving any queries related to Short Term Visitors’ compliance. Calculating, processing and recharging overtime payments.
  • Authorising, processing and reconciling season ticket loans.
  • Handling any manual payments and special requests according to instructions from authorised managers and HR as appropriate
  • Resolving queries through to conclusion ensuring a high level of customer care and service delivery.
  • Communicating as necessary with HMRC and the firm’s auditors.
  • Working as a fully integrated member of the team, establishing good rapport.
  • Assisting and supporting other team members whenever appropriate.
  • Staying up to date with changing legislation relating to all aspects of payroll.
  • Following legislation and internal policies and procedures in all European locations.
