Job Description

Major Donor FundraiserLocation: LondonContract Type: PermanentHours: Full time, 40 hours per weekSalary: A competitive salary of £49,000 - £54,000 depending on experience.FOUR PAWS is the global animal welfare organisation for animals under direct human influence, which reveals suffering, rescues animals in need and protects them.Would you like to contribute to something meaningful and work with us along our mission This is your chance.   • Hybrid and flexible working arrangement is available but this is a full-time position with at least one day per week required at our central London office.
Role title responsibilities are:
  • Creating and implementing a strategic targeted program of Mid Value, Major Donors, HNWI’s, Corporates, Trusts and Foundations fundraising.
  • Developing and implementing tailored funding applications, with responsibility for ensuring compliance in any agreements;
  • To nurture individual and corporate relationships with a view to securing fundraising opportunities in excess of £5k;
  • To create opportunities to meet and develop existing relationships with supporters;
  • Ensure all administrative plans for the Major Donor program;
  • Building new relationships and helping promote the FOUR PAWS UK brand;
  • Produce regular reports and updates to the Head of Fundraising.
  • Work proactively with FPUK, members of Senior Leadership Team and International HQ.
Requirements:Essential:
  • Extensive experience of managing major donor programs;
  • Understanding of fundraising and marketing within animal welfare and international organisations
  • A confident fundraiser with broad experience on fundraising principles, major donor programs and corporate giving;
  • A keen networker with a proven track record of delivering against fundraising targets;
  • Substantial experience in developing corporate relationships;
  • Excellent written communication skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including presenting, negotiating and influencing;
  • Proficiency in Excel, and other Microsoft office tools and working knowledge of CRM systems preferably Raisers Edge.
  • Willingness to travel to meetings with donors nationally and internationally where called on.
  • Great affinity to animal welfare and FOUR PAWS vision and mission.
Desirable:
  • Experience within a multinational organisation would be beneficial but not essential;
  • Experience drafting and delivering fundraising strategies would be beneficial.
