Job Description

Our prestigious Global Investment Bank clientare seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join itsglobal UK Infrastructure Platforms team within IT Production Services (ITS). This role involves platform and infrastructure management for over 1000+ systemsrunning Windows and Linux, supporting front office electronic trading systems, Corporate and Electronic Trading applications. The ideal candidate will have solid experience with Microsoft Windows, Hyper-V, VMWare, Windows Server, and HP server/storage. Required Skills & Qualifications:

Autonomous work within a global support structure.
Strong skills in production installation and management of Microsoft Windows Server, Clusters, Hyper-V, Active Directory, VMWare, HP Proliant, HP Storage (Alletra, Primera), Dell PowerScale.
Proficiency in scripting – PowerShell and Python are particularly advantageous.
Working knowledge of HPE Simplivity, CyberArk, and Device42 is beneficial.
ITIL certification.
Lean Management Methodology or equivalent is beneficial.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Experience and insight into eTrading infrastructure.

Day to Day of the role:

Deliver regional components of global electronic markets infrastructure projects.
Collaborate with counterparts in other locations to offer seamless follow-the-sun support.
Ensure proper monitoring and capacity planning of local systems as part of the global framework.
Resolve issues on the local eBusiness infrastructure hub.
Install and configure storage, SAN, and layered products.
Participate in weekend work approximately 1 in 4 weekends and in the on-call rota.
Flexible working arrangements between the office and home.
