Job Description

IT Network Support Specialist (Bank)Location: Central London (Office Based)Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + Excellent BenefitsThis is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished IT Network Support Specialist to join a prestigious foreign bank located in the heart of Central London. As a vital member of our clients team, you will play a key role in supporting, maintaining,and managing the banks networks to ensure optimal efficiency.Key Responsibilities:

  • As an integral part of the IT team, your responsibilities will include:
  • Developing high-level design and operational documents for network services-led infrastructure projects.
  • Participating in and supporting system backup, archiving, recovery, and business continuity processes.
  • Managing, optimizing, and supporting ITSM and Security tools to enhance IT networks, services, systems, procedures, and processes.
  • Escalating security, system, and network issues to the Head of IT as necessary.
  • Performing diagnostic tests and maintenance on the network, devices, servers, SAN storage, NAS storage, iSCSI, and workstations.
  • Installing, updating, and configuring servers and networking devices, monitoring server and network capacity and performance.
Network Specialist Requirements:
  • To thrive in this role, you should possess the following:
  • Bachelors degree in computer science, information science, or a related field.
  • Certification as a CompTIA, Microsoft, or Cisco network professional is preferred.
  • Expertise in Cloud Computing, Virtualisation, and Cybersecurity.
  • A minimum of five years of experience as a network specialist.
  • Extensive knowledge of network connectivity, technologies, protocols, and security.
  • Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong team player with outstanding organizational and time management skills.
