Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity available in London for a Financial Accountant to join our clients team on a permanent basis. For finance professionals aspiring to progress in their careers, this opportunity offers an excellent chance to join a well-establishedcompany. The perfect candidate will be a fully qualified accountant (or qualified by experience) and have experience of working in a Group reporting role.Responsibilities of the Financial Accountant will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Oversee accounting and financial reporting for UK entities, ensuring compliance with IFRS and group accounting policies
  • Manage monthly close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany balance reporting
  • Prepare various financial journals, tax reports, and variance analyses
  • Coordinate Group recharges and weekly cash flow forecasts
  • Act as a key contact for auditors, ensuring timely preparation of annual statutory accounts
  • Support Finance business partner in general accounting, month-end activities, and acquisitions transition
  • Serve as an SME for lease accounting, iipay payroll rollout, and other financial system
  • Collaborate on Group consolidation tasks and provide accounting and administrative support as needed
The successful Financial Accountant will require the following skills and experience:
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent), or qualified through experience
  • Previous experience in a Group reporting role, with extensive interactions in the UK
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience with IFRS
  • Preferred familiarity with UK VAT, CT, and PAYE
  • A mindset for change management and the ability to enhance existing processes and controls
  • Experience with SUN accounting systems is desirable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Highly numerate with strong communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills
  • Analytical with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Capable of prioritising and working effectively under tight schedules.
