My client, a rapidly growing FX and Payments firm in Central London are looking for a Financial Management Accountant to join their team! The successful candidate will play an important role in the organisation. Working in Finance team, you will be responsiblefor the preparation of management accounts and several other reports whilst also overseeing general accounting procedures and practices within the business. The reports are used to aid with assessment of business performance, setting business strategy andalso in decision making within the business, to ensure growth and profitability.Key responsibilities• Preparing monthly management accounts and other financial reports such as budgets.• Presenting reports to senior management to aid with business decision making.• Compiling strategies that will reduce business costs/ strategies for cost optimisation.• Advising on the financial implications of business decisions.• Developing and overseeing financial systems and procedures and identifying opportunities to improve these.• Controlling income and expenditure within the business and ensuring that expenditure is in line with budgets.• Overseeing accounting month end close process and support with generic accountancy tasks as required.• Communicating with all levels within the organisation and being able to present financial information to non - finance members of staff.Qualifications & Skills• Bachelor’s degree in management or financial accounting, Finance, or a related field• Recently qualified, or in final year(s) of further study toward a Management or Financial Accounting qualification.• Excellent analytical and numerical skills whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail.• String Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup, sumifs).• A solid foundation of basic accountancy skills including an understanding of the generally accepted accounting principles.• Experience in producing management and/or performance reporting for business areas, processes, departments etc.• Multicurrency accounting knowledge essential.• Analytical mindsetWhat we are looking for from you• Able to work in a fast-paced company.• Aptitude and enthusiasm to learn - an understanding of the business is important for success in this role!• Motivated, collaborative and proactive mindset with high attention to detail• Organised, prioritisation of workload ensuring deadlines are met.• Confident in managing own tasks and priorities.• Methodical approach to tasks• Ability to work under pressure.If you are interested in this role, please apply.
