Job Description

A global market leader in the Professional Services area seek a talented Financial Accountant to join their growing team. The business is based in Central London, however operate a flexible hybrid working environment with only 2 days required in the officeper week. This opportunity could suit someone whos trained in a Practice firm whos seeking their first move into Industry, or someone with a relevent background in Industry looking for a new challenge.The OpportunityReporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will be fundamental in supporting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in a fast-paced but friendly and rewarding environment. The business aims for excellence in everythingthey do, and as such the successful candidate will be self-motivated with a strong focus on quality.Role Details This is a very varied role that can include:

  • Assisting in preparation of month end and year end reports for distribution to Partners and Senior Management
  • Preparation and processing of monthly accounting adjustments including accruals and prepayments, depreciation etc.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support Financial systems and contribute suggestions for enhancements where needed
  • Assisting with preparation of year-end LLP accounts and tax comp preparation
  • Assisting with Cashflow forecasting and cash management
  • Supporting in monthly Payroll
  • Dealing with questions regarding Tax and assisting with VAT, PSA, P11d’s & PAYE
  • General
  • Ensuring that all ad-hoc information requests from Fee Earners and Departmental Heads are dealt with.
  • Assist with Ad-hoc projects
  • Support the Senior Financial Accountant and wider finance team as required
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ideally holds degree or equivalent level qualification
  • Part or fully qualified candidates considered
  • Prior experience reconciling balance sheets and running monthly reports
  • Strong technical accounting experience and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (especially experience in Excel)
  • Strong research and organisational skills
  • Experience in a professional service firm
