Summary: Consortium Recruitment are pleased to be representing a highly innovative and leading business, based in Bridlington. They are experiencing an unprecedented period of growth and are now looking to hire an ambitious and experienced R&D Mechanical Engineer. The role itselfThe successful R&D Mechanical Engineer will work closely with designers, production, and the senior management team. Using continuous improvement ideology, you will drive continuous improvement company wide.Your duties will include but not be limited to:* Build R&D and special assemblies* Work closely with designers, production, and senior management.* Work to fine tolerances, with a full understanding of GD&T* Thorough knowledge of precision measuring tools and equipment.* Working experience of continuous improvement ideologies* Using DFMA to create expediency and error proof efficiencies within the manufacturing process.* Train others in best practice to correctly assemble new and existing assemblies* Help to compile SOPs, standard work documents and training literature.The Candidate As a R&D Mechanical Engineer you will have a can do attitude and be solutions driven.
