Summary: Consortium Recruitment are pleased to be representing a highly innovative and leading business, based in Bridlington. They are experiencing an unprecedented period of growth and are now looking to hire an ambitious and experienced Controls System Engineer. The role itselfThe successful Controls System Engineer will produce, test and modify machine software to ensure bespoke machine functions operate to customer needs.You will have strong communication skills and be happy providing technical knowledge and expertise to support the service department, electricians, contractors and customers alike.Your duties will include but not be limited to:* Write initial coding for machine requirement* Create software element of the machine manual to provide operating instruction, test process and design requirements, modify existing software with bespoke functionalities to meet customer needs* Maintain market and legislative knowledge* Work with procurement to ensure product components are of the highest standard, which meet technical requirementsThe Candidate As a Controls System Engineer you will be drafting and checking electrical drawings, reviewing projects and communicate modifications to stakeholders to ensure outcomes meet the necessary customer needs.There may be a requirement for an occasional global travel to other company sites, customers and supplier sites for installation and diagnostic assistance.You will need relevant coding and electrical programming experience, and the following attributes:* Electrical design experience* Methodical* IT skills* Continuous improvement mind set and a knowledge of lean manufacturing processes* The desire to learn and develop skills within a growing business* Able to read and understand mechanical and/or electrical drawings* HNC or Degree preferred but not essential* Relevant PLC/ HMI / software knowledge and experience* Using fault finding tools in electrical, software and mechanical capacitiesConsortium Professional Recruitment Ltd are a professional level recruitment consultancy specialising in the delivery of high relevance recruitment services on behalf of our clients across the UK.
