Fabricator/Welder Days & NightsShifts: Monday to Friday 8am until 4.30pm (Days)5pm until 1.30pm (Nights)Additional Overtime is availablePay Rates:Days Shift £13.50 first 40 hours£20.25 and other hours worked Monday to Saturday£27.00 on a SundayNights£18.00 first 40 hours£20.25 any other hours worked Monday to Friday£27.00 Saturday and SundayThe Role:Reporting to Fabrication Shop ManagerTo safely and efficiently fabricate a variety of steel products on behalf ofour client.Principal DutiesOperate machinery and equipment in a safe manner at all times- Take reasonable steps to fulfilyour duty of care to yourself and other employees at all times- Inform a manager if not trained on allocated piece of work equipment- Follow issued Safe System of Work for relevant task or work equipment- Use any knowledge/skills from training properly in the workplace- Wear the prescribed Personal Protective Equipment at all times in accordance with the Safe System ofWork- Inspect equipment thoroughly on a daily basis and record results before starting work- Report any significant defects or potential hazards to the Fabrication Shop Manager, Responsible WeldingCoordinatoror Works Manager- Maintain working area in a clean and tidy condition at all timesFollowour clients standard production practices- Clock on to the correct job number before commencing and upon completing job- Make sure the correct size, grade and sub-grade material has been allocated to the job- Confirm welding/tack-welding parameters are in accordance with Weld Procedure SpecificationImplement BW Industries Quality procedure and checks- Determine production drawings are legible and the revision matches the Acknowledgement//DrawingRegister, reporting any problems to Management or Quality Inspector- Check the items to be welded are correct to the production drawings- Undertake 100% visual inspection to all welds- Ensure all welded items are recorded on the Quality SheetForward manufactured products to next production/delivery phase- Stack safely any fabricated assemblies, not to be welded at this time- Mark any incomplete items or sub-assemblies- Group/pack items in safe and secure manner- Attach delivery labels for transport if items are complete- Arrange for collection of materials by informing loading staffAssist with any other line of work that could be reasonably expected from an employee in such a position.Additionally all members of staff are required to act in a professional and courteous manner at all times, and inaccordance withour clients policy and procedures, to ensure high levels of customer service are achieved.If you would like to discuss this role further please contact our branch on This role would suit:Welder, Fabricator, Warehouse Operative, Production Operative, Yard Operative, Distribution Assistant, FLT, forklift, Labourer, goods in, goods out, returns, Picker, Packer, Packing Operative, Picking, Factory, Nights,Commutable from:Briddlington, Hull, Scarborough, Hornsea
