Urenco; trusted, long-term supplier to the nuclear industry, specialising in safe, cost effective and reliable uranium enrichment services, are looking for an Engineer (Project Testing & Handover) on a contract basis (inside IR35), to be based in Capenhurstnear Chester. In this role, you will provide commissioning and engineering services as part of PT&H to ensure the delivery of safe design solutions and plant modifications, especially with respect to testing/commissioning and handover/acceptance. To undertakeactivities across the engineering cycle, including optioneering where applicable, input to design modifications, commissioning deliverables and to provide discipline specific advice into a variety of forums, taking ownership and resolving issues as required. Rate: £42-48 Umbrella (Inside IR35) There are several roles available across disciplines such as: C&I, Mech & Civil, EC&I, High Voltage Electrical¬. The job typical involves to following activities :- • Ensure the delivery of safe design solutions and plant modifications, especially with respect to testing/commissioning and handover/acceptance • Undertake activities across the engineering cycle, including optioneering where applicable, input to design modifications, commissioning deliverables and to provide discipline specific advice into a variety of forums, taking ownership and resolving issuesas required • Produce high quality commissioning documentation (SATs) and peer reviewing of other commissioning documentation, including Commissioning & Acceptance plans (COM-T02s), FATs and Reservation Lists • Undertake, control and oversee commissioning activities when required and authorised to do so. Assessment and sign off of commissioning documentation. Handover to Operations & Maintenance in line with management arrangements • Use of hold point control plans in commissioning activities where necessary • Support to Operation Support & Commissioning department for active commissioning activities • Provision of routine progress updates and specialist technical input to a variety of forums as required • Identification of technical solutions to problems encountered on site and supporting the delivery of these • Undertaking fault-finding as required • Produce and review appropriate Commissioning & Acceptance Plans to be used with contractors • Oversee commissioning activities and deliverables from contractors, to ensure work is carried out to specification, on time and compliant with UUK procedures. What will your day look like - Production of high quality commissioning documentation (SATs) and peer reviewing of other commissioning documentation, including Commissioning & Acceptance plans (COM-T02s), FATs and Reservation Lists. - Undertaking, controlling and overseeing commissioning activities when required and authorised to do so. Assessment and sign off of commissioning documentation. Handover to Operations & Maintenance in line with CP-COM-01 using the COM-T01 process - Use of hold point control in commissioning activities where necessary - Support to OS&C department for active commissioning activities - Provision of routine progress updates and specialist technical input to a variety of forums as required - Identification of technical solutions to problems encountered on site and supporting the delivery of these - Undertaking fault-finding as required - Review appropriate Commissioning & Acceptance Plans to be used with contractors - Oversee commissioning activities and deliverables from contractors, to ensure work is carried out to specification, on time and compliant with UUK procedures What do you need to be great at this role - HNC in an engineering discipline or 10 years+ demonstable experience with technical qualifications - Good understanding of Engineering design processes in a heavily regulated industry and working in teams - Completion of Engineering-based apprenticeship, or graduate scheme (3-4 years) or equivalent, followed by demonstrable experience within a heavily regulated industry - Detailed knowledge of the different phases required in commissioning (e.g. FATS, SATS, etc.).
