Job Description

This global manufacturer has just celebrated its 200th birthday. But with Private Equity backing the future holds ambitious growth plans centred around acquisitions.So working in a small finance team you will need to be comfortable. Or even excited by ambiguity, variety and learning as you go helping to drive ad hoc tasks to a conclusion.Your new roleWorking in a SME finance team is different. Because you will get involved in many ad hoc projects where you have little or no experience. And these projects could range from the outsourcing of payroll to ordering company vehicles and procuring mobile phones.But those aside as a Management Accountant your core responsibility will include:

Management accounts, variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
Daily cash flows preparation and analysis.
Revenue recognition based upon the relevant project/order.
The production of MI, KPIs and associated commentary.
The preparation of statutory accounts and HMRC returns.

Base salary: £38k to £40k.
Study support available.
Working from home: 1 day per week. WF1 4 days per week.
Holiday: 25 days per year (excluding bank holidays).

Skills and experience to be successful

Working towards ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
Experience of the manufacturing sector.
Production of management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
Revenue recognition in a manufacturing environment.
Cash flow forecasting.
Submitting monthly and quarterly HMRC returns.
