Summary We have an exciting opportunity for a Communications & Marketing Officer to join our team at Batemans and Bodiam. As our Marketing & Communications Officer, youll be responsible for marketing these special places creatively and effectively. What its like to work here Joining a creative and friendly Visitor Experience team, youll bring your meticulous approach and great communication skills to the department, splitting your time between Bodiam Castle and Bateman’s depending on the season and the needs of the property.Youll be line managed by the Visitor Experience and Programming Manager and working alongside the Senior Visitor Experience Officer and Programming and Partnerships Officer, as well as working with departments across the whole portfolio, including the Outdoors,House and Welcome teams. If you love the variety of desk based tasks and operational activities then this could be the role to suit you. This is a great opportunity to experience working for the National Trust and building your skills and abilities in an encouragingenvironment. What youll be doing Day to day, youll support delivery of our annual marketing and communications plan to help achieve our ambitious targets, helping us to get in touch with our core and new audiences. This will include crafting new content and management of existing informationon our property web pages, running social media accounts, creating promotional materials and updates, writing and distributing press releases when required.Youll work closely with staff on property and also connect with the National Trust’s own consultants, based across the London South East region. Were looking for someone who can help us reach larger and more diverse audiences for our places and our digitalcontent. Youll work as part of the team to make sure that were sharing the most engaging stories we can.
