Job Description

Summary The Collections Assistant is an essential role for our property. By undertaking the day-to-day care and cleaning of the property and its collections youll ensure their preservation and presentation for our visitors.Its about engaging with and sharing the important work you do with a wide range of people bringing to life the property and your role in collections care and conservation. What youll be doing Your role might include anything from undertaking the safe movement of objects required for research, digitisation, and teaching to supporting the displays and exhibitions year-round.In this visitor facing role youll talk about the practices and techniques we use and the history/story of the property. Youll assist in the maintenance of collections records providing up to date and accurate record of the property and its contents, alongsidepreventative conservation measures.Please also read the full role profile, attached to this advert.
