Primary School Site SupervisorJob Type: Full-timeLocation: Burnley.Working Hours: Split shift, 7:00-9:00 AM and 3:30-6:30 PM, Monday to Friday (20 hours per week)Start Date: 11/03/2024 (covering a planned absence)We are seeking a dedicated Primary School Site Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the security, safety, and maintenance of the school premises, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for staff, pupils, and visitors.Day to day of the role:- Opening and closing the school premises, including setting and disarming security systems.- Conducting regular security checks and maintaining a log of any incidents or breaches.- Overseeing the cleaning team to ensure the school is well-maintained and presentable.- Performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks, and liaising with contractors for more significant repairs.- Ensuring that health and safety regulations are adhered to throughout the school.- Managing the maintenance of school grounds, including gardening and litter control.- Setting up facilities for school events and meetings as required.- Responding to emergency situations promptly and following emergency procedures.- Required Skills & Qualifications:- Experience in a supervisory role, preferably within a school or similar environment.- Good understanding of health and safety regulations.- Basic DIY skills for minor repair work.- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Reliable and punctual with a responsible attitude towards the security and maintenance of the school premises.- Enhanced DBS check will be required for the successful candidate.Benefits:- £15.09 per hour- Opportunities for professional development and training.- Being part of a supportive and friendly school community.- Contributory pension scheme.To apply for the Primary School Site Supervisor position, please submit your CV and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and why you are interested in this role.
