Working closely with the Buyer to create a profitable range
Aim to accurately forecast the department and weekly performance in line with stock availability, trading conditions and opportunities
Manage and utilise the WSSI to drive trading insight and produce increased margins and profitability of stock
Support the Buyer to plan and construct ranges, you will do this by using historical and market trend analysis on products, to assist in the purchasing of products at the right price and quantity
Spot and implement opportunities to deliver an improved performance on the category
Proactively plan promotional activity with the aim to gain maximum return
Manage and coach an Assistant Merchandiser in order to support their development

What we are looking for:

Previous experience working within a merchandising role, ideally in retail
Commercial Acumen
Full WSSI understanding
Strong analytical and attention to detail skills
Advance Excel Skills
High level of communication and presentation skills
Ability to manage and develop a team
