Job Description

A new exciting entry-level opportunity has been created in our fast-growing chocolate & ice cream company. Reporting to the Finance Manager, your days will consist of supporting the whole department. From sales ledger & cash flow to assisting with managementreports to (occasionally!) trialling new delicious truffley treats.This role will suit someone with a passion for numbers who is eager to start their career in Finance.   • Assist in the preparation of the cash flow forecast.
  • Contribute accurate and timely reports to assist Finance Manager in creation of monthly management accounts.
Accounting
  • Oversee and maintain accurate and efficient administration of sales ledger, customer invoices, customer payments, production of customer statements.
  • Manage credit risk via strategy and on-going credit control, liaising internally and externally as necessary by email and phone to resolve queries.
  • Manage petty cash accurately.
  • Carrying out daily financial reconciliations, i.e., reconcile customer payments and supplier payments on Sage, reconcile Barclays Bank and Barclays Ledgermaster to Sage.
  • Assist with official compliance requests as necessary i.e., EC VAT returns, Alcohol ingredient Relief and Intrastat Declaration.
  • Work with the Finance Manager to develop and improve existing systems to support increased efficiency and accuracy regarding accounts administration.
  • Ensure a discrete professional approach is maintained in relation to any confidential information encountered during the performance of the role.
  • Provide relief for operations, processing sales orders and once confirmed liaise with customers.
  • Manage efficient ordering of stationery & groceries.
  • Standard office duties - sorting incoming and outgoing post, photocopying, filing, and liaising internally and externally as necessary by email and phone to resolve stakeholder queries.
  • Provide ad hoc support and cover for other team members.
