Brecon, PowysCirca £8.91 per hourPermanent, Part-Time (working 4 hours a week) - after school for 2 hours 2 evenings a weekBrilliant benefitsWe offer 29 days holiday plus public/bank holidays (pro rata), flexiblematernity, adoption and paternity packages, pension scheme where we contribute up to 7%, an employee discount portal and much more.Giving children and young people the foundations they need to thrive.The rolePowys Community Additional Needs service provides support to children and young people with additional learning needs aged 0 to 25 years of age both at home and in the community.We currently support approximately 80 children and young people throughout Powys but this role is to cover the Brecon area.This role is to work 4 hours a week and, although the hours are negotiable, they will need to include after school to suit the needs of the children and young people and their families. We may be able to be flexible with additional or fewer hours, this willbe discussed in interview.You will make a difference by:- Supporting children and young people with their development and independence.- Enabling the social and emotional health of children and young people.- Organising and providing outreach support to children and young people.- Empowering children and young people to thrive within their community.- Enabling children and young people to have fun.You will need:- A Health & Social Care Level 2 qualification.- Experience of supporting children and young people with disabilities and their families.- Adaptability.- Excellent communication skills.- Access to a car.
