Job Description

Imports AdministratorNG11, NottinghamFull time, Core Hours 9.30am - 4.00pm Monday - Thursday, 9.00am - 3.00pm on a FridayMust be able to work until 5.00pm one day a week and one Friday until 4.30pm. Approx 1 in 6£23,000 - £25,000 per annum, D.O.E**PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE OF IMPORTS IS ESSENTIAL**Responsibilities:

  • Purchase Order management and classification of goods
  • Liaising with Forwarders regarding Shipment Bookings, Arrivals and Costs. Checking invoices for accuracy
  • Collecting documents from suppliers for importing of goods, checking and recording of Information
  • Ensuring all documentation is present and correct for clearance including extra documents such as Phytosanitary Certificates
  • Using CHIEF, ISF, SDI and FSD declarations - checking responses and recording information
  • Claiming and clearing the consignments via Destin8, CNS, CHIEF and CDS systems via e-customs
  • Consulting with Suppliers regarding updates of Purchase Orders and attending to their queries
  • Working alongside the Accounts Department for Foreign Cashflow Forecasts and Weekly payment schedules
  • Maintain/update internal records of all shipments, tracking expected delivery dates, liaising with Goods-In Dept
  • Assist Shipping Manager to define and maintain the AEO/CFSP Authorisations and the HMRC Audits that follow
  • Assist in the Postponed VAT management for HMRC and Accounts Department
  • Organising a Forwarder and Issuing clearance instructions for EU consignments when required prior to Goods arrival, track consignment and check clearance from E2 and Entry Acceptance, record information for HMRC
  • Maintaining the Product Library and Article information documentation
  • Contract negotiations for Freight with potential Forwarders
  • Manage the recording of the Companys Deferment to ensure the limit is sufficient and handling statements
  • Re-claiming overpaid duty or declaring underpaid duty and vat
  • Attending to Marine Insurance Claims - liaising with Forwarders/Suppliers/Shipping Lines/Insurance Companies
  • Raising/Claiming of Debit Notes
Experience:
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience within Imports/Supply Chain/Administration
  • Have strong IT skills - Word/Excel
  • Experience of Destin8, CNS, e-customs CHIEF and or CDS
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to manage a busy workload with targeted deadlines
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Good Team Player
