Job Description

Are you or do you know an experienced Director of Finance looking for their next contract, hybrid role in KentAre you looking for work-life balance but want to develop your skills & experience in Finance Directing at the same timeA successful & growing Academy Trust, based in Greenhithe, DA9 are looking for a Finance Director to join them on a temporary contract starting 6th November.£225- £289perday (Choice to be paid via Umbrella Company)Hours: 08.00 - 16.003 month contract - may be extended or become permanentHybrid working - Full timePART TIME APPLICANTS THAT ARE IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE CAN APPLY - 3 DAYS P/W AVAILABLEResponsibilities:· Provide strategic leadership, direction and management in Finance, ensuring high standards and the development of systems appropriate to the Trust· Supporting with pension submissions, HMRC, reconciliation, actuarial reports (chasing payroll to obtain)· Support in the Trusts’ budget process for submitting their detailed proposed budget to the Finance and Audit Committees approval· Use appropriate data to make financial forecasts to facilitate good strategic forward planning· Ensure robust budgetary control arrangements are in place to enable monitoring of income and expenditure against budgets and ensure corrective action is taken where appropriate· Oversee benchmarking to review best value for money and to make suitable recommendations· Preparation of monthly management accounts, forecasts and other financial reports to present to the board of trustees and discuss risk· Provide support, guidance, challenge and information to budget holders and Director of Education· Liaise with resilience when speaking to payroll providers and ability to be firm yet professionalBenefits:
