Job Description

Role: Automotive Embedded C Software EngineerRate: up to £50 per hour, outside IR35Location of work: Fully remote workingThe Project:An automotive electronics business based in the West Midlands requires an Embedded Software Engineer to join them for an initial 6-month contract that is likely to extend. This role can be performed fully remotely.You will be working on the development of a charge controller which is used when charging an EV vehicle.The ecu on a vehicle will communicate to the charging station which then sends a message to the charge controller. The charge controller controls the contactors. Because of high currents and voltages it will also measure temperature. If the temperature wasto reach a dangerous level then everything cuts out and the contactors open again to ensure everything is cut. This product needs to be ASIL B functional safety rated.This is an opportuntiy to join a project at the early stages of development on a newly formed team.Experience required:

Automotive/ ECU development experience.
Embedded C
RTOS
NXP STM32
CAN bus or J1939

Desirable experience (not essential):

Functional safety
AUTOSAR
DaVinci Developer/ Configurator
