Job Description

Test Rod and Rope TechnicianLocation: Birchwood, WA3 7QZSalary: £25k - £35k per annum, plus car allowance or company vanContract Full time, PermanentWe are Kloud9 and we are looking to add an experienced Fibre Planner to our team!Whats on offer!

Test Rod and Rope Technician - The Role:We are looking to recruit a test rod and rope operative to our team, the role will be based out of our birchwood office.We will provide you with all the tools, training, and systems you need to be able to provide first class customer service to our customers. We have created a working environment where you can be yourself and make a real contribution to how the support teamand wider business functions operate on a day-to-day basis.You will display can do attitude and use your problem solving skills daily. You also wont be afraid of wearing multiple hats and going above and beyond for our customers. One of our goals is to outshine the competition, you will play a major part inachieving this.You should hold a full driving license and have experience working with Cobra systems and 3-meter rods. You will also be proficient in working in both UG and OH environments.Key Responsibilities:
  • Initial Test rod and rope of Underground cable routes.
  • Installation of Blown Fibre Tubing (BFT) and blowing Fibre or subduct
  • Be able to produce box to box sheets and daily measurements.
  • Produce A55 blockage report
  • Must be able to read a PN map and see what is required and where.
  • Ability to work safely, in line with National Roads & Street Works Act
Test Rod and Rope Technician - What we need from you:
  • Experience of working in a telecommunications infrastructure build environment
  • Sound practical knowledge and experience of working on Open-reach duct infrastructure.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to work within a team.
  • SA002, S7 / K8 Equivalent
  • Physically fit as the role is a physically demanding
