A truly exciting opportunity to join an established business and develop your career and diversify your responsibilities.The Infrastructure Consultant position is a leading role in the head office, with the successful candidate being required to act as a lead technical resource on various technical projects and scheduled technical activities, largely focused on the wide range of products that the business as to offers: on-premises, SaaS, and Cloud infrastructures, with typical projects including Implementation & Configuration, Proof of Concepts, Health checks, Training, Demonstrations, and much more.Youll be expected to be an experienced and forward-thinking technology specialist who is keen on joining a rapidly growing organisation and be a key figure in their expansion. Moreover, the position provides a comprehensive learning & development programmeto develop the successful candidate to become a subject matter expert of their products and strategy.Responsibilities:* To maintain the existing internal and external systems to support the business functions.* To be hands on in moving the company towards a more flexible and cost-efficient future in line with the business strategy.* To identify areas where existing infrastructure can be improved or streamlined.* To be involved in the running and completion of solutions design and implementation projects.* Provide support to their varied customer base.* Managing end to end implementations of the companys wide ranges of products from initial profile assessment to solution design, implementation, training, customer hand over and support.* Consulting with customers helping them understand what is required for successful deployment of products.* Day-to-day running of multiple assignments, both remotely and on-site.* Ensure delivery of project scope within agreed timescales and budgets.* Identify any risks or issues and ensure they are reported in a timely manner so they can be managed to a resolution.* Become a subject matter expert on their products and contribute to the creation of best practices, documentation, knowledgebase content, testing, R&D and process improvements.Essential Experience:* Minimum 5 years experience in a Technical Support role.* Exceptional communication skills, written & oral.* Excellent prioritisation skills with the ability to work to deadlines.* Working knowledge of Microsoft Servers and Active Directory.* Networking knowledge including LAN, WLAN, WAN and other connectivity technologies.* Ability to support and implement solutions using the Microsoft M365 suite including Teams, Exchange365 and SharePoint.* Experience using Intune.* Ability to monitor and support Windows Defender 365.* Experience supporting infrastructure on Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure.* Good understanding of IT Security principles.* A high level of attention to detail.* Self-motivated and passionate.* Ability to create technical documentation such as solutions designs and network diagrams.* Solid problem solving and consultative skills.Desirable Experience:* Experience with SQL Databases and executing SQL related queries.* Experience with the Azure DevOps Platform.* SQL experience including complex queries & SQL scripting.* Scripting experience in PowerShell or Bash, or python.* Previous experience working for a software developer.* Good understanding of IT Security principles.* Previous experience of software delivery and/or delivering project services to multi-client environments.If you think that youd be a good fit for this position then apply today or reach out to LNJ Recruitment for more information.
