Job Description

Job TitleSenior process Engineer Employment TypeContract Estimated Duration- 6 months with opportunity to be extended. This role has been deemed inside of IR35Location:Warrington- minimum 3 days per week in SL or partner office Summary:An exciting new opportunity has arisen to become part of a leading engineering consultancy that specialises within the nuclear industry boasting a talent force of thousands across the UK and world, producing billions annually. The need is for an experiencedsenior process engineer who will be responsible for assessing industrial processes and measurements to ensure an accurate flow of data. The opportunity is for someone to be involved in the input of data and accurately design, measure and test all system processes.

If the answer is yes, then why not read on to find out more and get in touch now to avoid missing out!Process Engineer: North Transfers, NNL Transfers & Orphan PackagesYour responsibilities will include:North Transfers:
  • Updates to Basis of process safety & basis of Design
  • Completion of export strategy & chemotoxic assessment
  • Updates to transport conditions for acceptance document
  • Consideration of venting arrangements for transport containers
  • Liaison with key stakeholders, and other design disciplines
  • Support to DSEAR activities
  • Support to other disciplines
Orphan Wastes:
  • Working in conjunction with technical to establish Technical Underpinnings Envelope
  • Working with stakeholders and other projects to establish potential treatment routes.
  • Optioneering
  • Consideration of potential safety (radiological and conventional) and DSEAR issues
  • Development of CAE and BoPs NNL transfers
  • Activities like the above
Qualifications and Experience:
  • You will be degree qualified in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent engineering discipline)
  • Proactive and driven approach to work
  • You will have good communication skills and ability to work with other team members/ disciplines.
  • You will be competent in report writing skills; clearly and concisely reporting findings
  • Comfortable working under time and cost constraints
  • You will have experience of delivery of chemical engineering deliverables on multidiscipline design projects
Other qualifications and Experience:
  • Ideally you will have DSEAR/ hydrogen management experience.
  • Preferably a chartered chemical engineer with IChemE/EC
  • Experience of nuclear industry design delivery would be advantageous.
  • Ideally you will have experience with project checking and approval procedure
