Job Description

Fibre Planner - Immediate Start Location: BirchwoodSalary: £40k - £50k per annumContract: Full Time, PermanentWe are Kloud9 and we are looking to add an experienced Fibre Planner to our team!Whats on offer!

Fibre Planner - The Role:We are looking to recruit a Fibre planner to our team based out of our Birchwood office!We will provide you with all the tools, training, and systems you need to be able to provide first class customer service to our customers.We have created a working environment where you can be yourself and make a real contribution to how the support team and wider business functions operate on a day-to-day basis.We are looking for someone with a can do attitude and who will use their problem-solving skills daily. You wont be afraid of wearing multiple hats and going above and beyond for our customers!One of our goals is to outshine the competition and you will play a major part in achieving this.Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for full design lifecycle from project start to finish
  • Produce and create HLD and LLD design suites
  • Ability to create fit for purpose design packs, that cover cost effective fibre networks, topology, SLD, splice plans and civil requirements
  • Management and ownership of design change implementation
  • Creation of all required outputs to enable build team to progress with network build
  • Ensure all HSQE and safe dig practises are in place and procedures are followed
  • Identify wayleave areas
  • Support project / build team as necessary
Fibre Planner - What we need from you:You will have a detailed understanding of how Fibre Networks work and have demonstrable knowledge working with QGIS and designing Networks using the Openreach PIA Network.We need someone who stays calm under pressure and isnt afraid of pushing themselves.In addition to this you will:
  • Have experience of working in a telecommunications infrastructure build environment
  • Have an understanding of Highway notice periods and how they can influence build
  • Have an understanding of GPON / XGSPON architecture
  • Have the ability to plan networks on the Openreach PIA network
  • Display a good understanding of IP networks
  • Have a good working knowledge of street works regulations
  • Have the ability to carry out validation surveys of PIA network
  • Be experienced in working towards / exceeding weekly and monthly department KPIs
