Electrical Design Engineer Warrington £55k

If so, then please see belowElectrical Design Engineer Warrington £55kHuxley Engineering and UKs Engineering Giants in Mechanical Handling are looking to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer for their Engineering Centre of Excellence in Warrington, owing to significant business growth and project pipeline for 2022-24+.Based in Warrington and reporting into a Principal EC&I Engineer, the Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for:
  • Designing complex systems in machine control applications and plant wide automation
  • Delivery of the Electrical, Control and Instrumentation work packages of high integrity and complex control systems to Customer and Industry Specifications, to within budget and programme constraints
  • Producing technical & functional specifications and developing control systems from concept design through to final design, installation and commissioning.
  • Developing Electrical Design & Control Solutions to the latest relevant IEC standards and statuary legislation.
Specifically, the Electrical Design Engineer will produce CE&I designs to customer specification and project requirements.Main deliverables being:
  • Control Panel designs - General Arrangements, Detail drawings, Schematics Diagrams, Interlock Diagrams for typically PLC & HMI hardware, Motor Starters & Drives, Safety Circuits, Instrumentation and Power Distribution.
  • Specification of hardware and production of parts list, as well as Manufacturing specifications.
  • Ensure company policy and procedures are being applied across the projects.
  • Manage the interface between CE&I and the Mechanical function.
  • Support the Lead Engineer in the delivery of scope to budget and programme.
  • Support the Lead Engineer in the management and supervision of sub-contractors.
  • Provide input to the development of the CE&I function and resource.
Qualification & Experience Required for Electrical Design Engineer role:
  • HNC / HND / Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering (or Equivalent), relevant to subject knowledge.
  • Broad knowledge of the designing complex systems in machine control applications and plant wide automation (Nuclear Industry would be an advantage)
  • Prior experience of developing control systems from concept design through to final design, installation and commissioning.
  • Experienced in design software packages (AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical Etc)
  • Knowledge of Safety Standard IEC 61508 would be an advantage.
  • Electrical Design Engineering Experience in one or more of the following areas:-
    • Nuclear Decommissioning
    • Pressure Systems
    • Remote Handling Equipment / Mechanical Handling / Machinery Design / Robotics / Automated Machinery
    • Lifting Equipment
    • Process Plant
