Job Description

Job TitleCivil, Structural and Architecture (CS&A) Senior EngineerEmployment TypeContract Estimated Duration- 12 months This role has been deemed inside of IR35LocationWarringtonSummary:An exciting opportunity has arisen to have the opportunity of working alongside a major engineering company that specialises in the development of key nuclear projects across the UK and world driven by talented nuclear experts. The need is for you as a Civil,Structural and Architecture (CS&A) Senior Engineer, to be responsible for leading your own projects, alongside helping the lead of other engineers. The opportunity will allow you to be responsible for making sure all key projects meet the scope, time, cost,and quality requirements.

  • Are you an experienced engineer with a Civil, Structural, or Architecture background
  • Do you obtain experience in the static and seismic design of concrete to (ACI 318), steel and masonry structures

If the answer is yes, then why not read on to find out more and get in touch now to avoid missing out on this exciting opportunity!As a Civil, Structural and Architecture (CS&A) Senior Engineer, your daily responsibilities will include:
  • You will Carry out engineering calculations and check the work of more junior staff to deliver a quality functional input to projects.
  • Ensure own work and that of more junior engineers on a project complies with all necessary corporate, departmental, and legislative requirements and procedures, to guarantee that the necessary consistency and quality of delivery is maintained.
  • Specify and procure equipment to meet requirements.
  • Provide functional support and guidance to junior staff to develop both as individuals and the capability of them.
  • Carrying out commissioning activities at client site, as required to ensure successful engineering handover.
  • Co-ordinate and deliver CS&A design tasks (designs, assessments, drawings, and reports) checking and approving the output.
  • Undertaking site inspections to confirm design scope and to develop design solutions.
  • You will produce design and assessment calculation packages, CS&A documents and inputting into multi-discipline documents (e.g. NFRs, BoD, DJRs)
Qualifications and Key skills:
  • You will need substantial experience in relevant project design work.
  • You will be required to have general all-round Civil and Structural design experience, with experience of working alterations and modifications to existing structures amongst other asset care type projects.
  • You will need experience of managing project deliverables, working as part of a team, and managing stakeholders.
  • Experience required in the static and seismic design of concrete to (ACI 318), steel and masonry structures.
  • You will need team leadership capability.
