They provide services in partnership with the Nottinghamshire County Council, maintaining, designing, and constructing throughout a range of disciplines. This will include the maintenance of roads, footways, signs, lines lighting & signals. By combininga public sector service and a commercial focus, they offer a unique competitive service to both the private and public sectors in the region.Project EngineerThe Project Engineer will have the following responsibilities: Job Description

Design and manage the delivery of highway and civil engineering projects, which may be complex and significant to achieve quality, programme and financial targets meeting customer and stakeholder requirements
Provide specialist design, technical and cost advice to colleagues, clients, or external bodies to support delivery of complex and large-scale projects across the organisation
Manage the evaluation and authorisation of externally designed engineering schemes on behalf of internal and external clients to ensure highway network asset meets regional and national design specification and safety standards.
Manage consultation, communication and liaison with clients and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including members of the public and elected Members to facilitate project delivery and maintain a positive company reputation.

Project EngineerEssential Skills/Experience/Qualifications

Strong ICT skills including competence in specialist computer applications used to support highway design and civil engineering activities including working knowledge of current computer aided design software and knowledge of data management environments
A high level of personal drive and commitment to excellent customer care and the ability to set an example to other staff

Project Engineer Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering or a related subject and post qualification relevant experience or equivalent knowledge gained through practical experience in a highway and/or civil engineering design environment.
Working knowledge of health and safety, technical, traffic management and other legislation and good practice appropriate to highway and civil engineering construction and maintenance activities.
Working knowledge of current highway design and civil engineering standards, contracts, and procedures.
