Via currently has a fantastic opportunity to join our Highways Design - Maintenance Team as a Project Engineer based at our Head Office Depot in Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire.The successful candidate will be joining an expanding team that is dynamically delivering projects for a range of public and private sector clientsAbout the role:As a Project Engineer - Maintenance, youll lead the design, costing and delivery of carriageway and footway resurfacing projects, overseeing the works from inception to completion. You will prepare detailed design drawings to current standards and supportthe delivery of complex, large-scale projects across the organisation. Youll ensure Health & Safety responsibilities are fulfilled adhering to relevant management systems, processes and requirements and prepare feasibility reports and contribute to futuredetailed client briefs including fee proposals on potential highway schemesAdditionally, you will ensure regular communication and liaison with contractors and clients and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to facilitate project delivery.Candidate Requirements:

Were looking for someone with relevant industry qualifications such as (HNC, BSc/BEng, MSc/Meng).
A member of or working towards a professional institution.
Understanding of appropriate highway design and safety standards (e.g., Local Authority Design Guides, TSRGD, CDM Regulations, DMRB, Manual for Streets)
Design experience of highway engineering, drainage investigations and local transport schemes
The ability to deliver highway projects ensuring completion is achieved on time and on budget to the Clients brief.
Experience in the production of specifications, technical drawings and feasibility reports
Proficient in the use of industry design software (AutoCAD). Use of additional software packages KeyLines & KeySign is desirable but not essential.
Full UK driving licence
