Job Description

Job Title: ResearchChemist(Full time, Permanent)Location: Bedfordshire, UKREED Scientific are representing an innovative Biotech based in the Bedfordshire area. They are looking for amotivated Research Chemistto join their R&D team and contribute practically to customer projects.About the Job

  • The R&D Chemist will need to apply their understanding of practical organic and / or polymer chemistry to the design of imprinted polymers, their characterisation and manufacturing.
  • This is a customer facing role, and the R&D Chemist will have the opportunity to work on customer projects and be involved in customer meetings.
  • They will need to share complex data in a simple to understand manner with all stakeholders
  • They will need to actively encourage compliance with the Quality Management System to ISO9001 standard, and will write and approve documents
  • The Research and Development Chemist will be a need to be flexible, and assist with all aspects of setting up and running the laboratory.
Qualifications, Skills and experience required
  • Degree in Chemistry (or similar).
  • A good understanding of practical organic and/or polymer chemistry
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 quality standards is desirable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages
  • Must be organised and forward thinking
  • Must enjoy working in a fast paced environment and love being laboratory based
  • A desire to learn is absolutely essential
