The Prep school is large with around 400 boys on roll and offers a modern and diverse curriculum. Facilities at the school are outstanding and the Humanities department is popular and well-resourced. There is a strong focus on using technology for teaching and learning in the school. The school is part of a prestigious group of independent schools which encourages excellent personal and academic development for its students. Behaviour at the school is exemplary and academically the school achieves well.The school is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Head of History to lead the department on a permanent basis. The ideal applicant will be a qualified teacher and History graduate. The post would suit a passionate historian with a proven success teaching history at preparatory level and inspiring students to study history. As well as history teaching and leading the department, the Head of History will also be heavily involved with extracurricular life at the school and someone who is willing to contribute games and other similar programmes is desired.
