Job Title: Clinical/Forensic Psychologist Location: Barham, KentSalary Range: £45,942 - £50,739Hours:Full time, 37.5Cedar House is a 40-bed hospital for adults with intellectual disabilities, mental health issues, personality disorders, autism and challenging behaviours, who are detained under the Mental Health Act. Cedar House enjoys a beautiful rural location situatedin the village of Barham, on the outskirts of Canterbury and is easily accessible by public transport, being on the main bus route between Canterbury and Folkestone.Currently we are looking to appoint a Full time Clinical/Forensic Psychologist, who is out going and Passionate about providing psychological support to adults with a primary diagnosis of Intellectual Disabilities and other possible comorbid diagnoses suchas ASD, Personality Disorders, and Mood Disorders and present with behaviours that challenge such as aggressive behaviour, sexually inappropriate behaviour, self-injurious behaviour etc.Do you share out company valuesAre you Positive, Empowering, Person Centred and InnovativeKey Skills:Registration as a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council.An approved qualification in psychology confirming eligibility for registration with the British Psychological Society including substantive empirical research experience.Experience of at least one to two years work with adults who have a learning disability or low cognitive functioning and present with behaviours that challenge, in a care setting, and/or work in a secure or forensic setting.Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team.The Role:To complete assessment and prepare formulation of psychological needs of the allocated client, including observations, interviews, analysis of behaviours, administering psychometrics etc. as required.To provide individually tailored psychological interventions to meet the needs of allocated clients e.g. behavioural and cognitive-behavioural interventions.To support healthcare staff to implement programmes arising from such assessment and individually tailored psychological interventions.To monitor and evaluate programmes and advise service managers when problems and difficulties arise, as well as senior staff within Cedar House.To attend meetings to discuss the needs of allocated clients or service activities or projects.To provide written reports in a timely manner and/or contribute to MDT reports and attend Annual Reviews/other Reviews as required.To contribute to the administration of outcome measures, clinical audit, activity and work recording and service evaluations as appropriate.
