Job Description

We are partnering with a manufacturing company seeking a Quality Engineer in Cambridge on a hybrid basis.Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Supplier Audits to ensure our suppliers meet and exceed quality standards through regular audits and assessments. Identify areas for improvement and work collaboratively with suppliers to implement corrective actions.
  • Analyse supplier performance data to drive informed decisions. Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve supplier quality metrics.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and procurement, to ensure seamless integration of quality processes throughout the supply chain.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives. Implement best practices to enhance overall supplier quality and efficiency.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues by conducting thorough root cause analysis. Implement preventive measures to mitigate future risks.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field is essential
  • Expertise in supplier quality engineering or a similar position.
  • It is advantageous to have knowledge about quality management systems and ISO standards.
  • Knowledgeable in ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, and IFS
  • Capable of driving design decisions where repeatable manufacturability deliverables are required. Competent in design for manufacture.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The capacity to forge close bonds with internal teams and vendors.
  • Strong analytical abilities and the capacity to understand trends and data. It helps to be proficient with data analysis software.
