Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde for a Band 5 Staff Nurse with relevant post-registration experience preferably within a theatre/surgical or anaesthetic environment to join our Pre-operative Assessment Team within the North Sector. You will be actively involved in the provision of direct patient care for a designated patient group requiring pre-operative assessment prior to surgery or anaesthesia. The purpose of the care is to competently perform the necessary administration, technical, invasive and physical aspects of the care for this defined patient group. You will ensure an effective delivery of support is provided to patients/service and that an acceptable standard is maintained. You will provide, through Divisional policies, a safe environment for the treatment of patients and protection of staff. It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC and that you have relevant post registration experience.
