An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde for a Band 3 Health Care Support Worker to join our Pre-Operative Assessment Team within the North Sector. The Health Care Support Worker will be actively involved in the general organisation and daily running of the Pre-Operative Assessment Service. In addition, will participate in the provision of direct patient care in support of and supervised directly & indirectly by a Registered Nurse. Provide patients with timely information about the Pre-Operative Assessment Service. You will prepare patients for their Pre-Operative assessment consultation and assist patients with activities of daily living. You will provide a care environment that is fit for its intended purpose and support the delivery of patient care as defined by the context, purpose and philosophy of the Healthcare Team to which they contribute. You should havea caring disposition with substantial experience in Outpatient environment and the ability to prioritise workload and experience of working unsupervised in an Ambulance Waiting Area is essential. The shift pattern for this post is 8.00am – 6.00pm over the week. There are 2 posts available with different hours, one is for 18.75hrs and the other is for 22.5hrs.
