Job Description

Special Needs Teaching Assistants required to support EYFS/Primary aged students with SEND. The school is a specialist provider of education for children with Complex and Medical SEND. They also have additional needs such as ASC, SLD, MLD and PMLD.If you are a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, have recent and relevant experience supporting children and young people with additional needs including: ASD, ADHD, MLD, SLD, SEMH and/or PMLD then we would be interested in having a conversation with you!Ideal candidates will:

  • Have experience working with children and young people who have a range of SEND
  • Be sensitive to the needs and backgrounds of children with complex SEND
  • Have passion and interest in gaining or developing experience in the SEND sector
  • Be available immediately for long or short term work
  • Have a DBS on the online update service or be willing to apply for one
  • Be able to provide a minimum of 2 references to cover the last 2 years employment history
  • Hold relevant training or qualifications related to working in schools / SEND provisions
    • Candidates who have experience or are interested in opportunities within the SEN sector will be subject to Premier Education’s stringent vetting procedures including referencing and DBS checks as well as a registration interview.
